In paying tribute to the very many good, kind and generous people who contributed both financially and in kind towards this building, special mention must be made of the professional men and women of this parish who under the leadership and direction of Engr. P.D. Ofili (Late) donated free of charge their God-given Talents. In this connection we remember the Architects who designed the Church and Rectory; the Surveyors who did the setting out, the team of Engineers who designed and supervised various aspects of the work.
We also acknowledge the contributions of the various paid organizations and workers, steel fabricators, masons, carpenters, electricians, welders, plumber, labourers and watchmen without whose efforts the building will not be standing today.
Finally we salute our Bishop, Most Rev. Patrick E. Ekpu for giving the land on which to build and also for his entire interest in the construction work and for the donation of the tabernacle now in the Church.
Truly with the psalmist, people of St. Pauls Parish can say Unless the Lord Build the house they Labour in vain that build It. Unless the Lord guard the City in vain does the Guard keep vigil. (Psalm 127:1) For this building has been undertaken in times of austerity and this has been possible only by the special grace of God.
And as we thank God for all he has done for us we pray that the good Lord bless and reward abundantly all who contributed towards the building of this edifice.
